Ok we have just done the draw for the HOLIDAY FOR TWO including all flights, accomodation, transfers, and a welcome package.
The draw was done live infront of the web cam inside as many of you know ( we had approx 30 people watching ).

Angela from the hotel where the lucky winners will be staying came to do the draw and the winning number was 40 and the ticket holder was DOREEN.

SO well done Dor. Let me know when you want to come over and I will book the flights and accomodation.

Everyone else that entered don’t worry there is always another chance next year!!

Darts killer draw

Ok almost at the end of the season which means we are closer to the draw for the HOLIDAY FOR TWO FOR TWO WEEKS including all flights, accomadation, transfers and a welcome package. which as you all know is on the 30th of this month.

The draw will be done by Agela ( the owner of Angela’s ) at 7pm uk time and will be live via the web cam at www.tommiesbar.com.

I wish all the winners the best of luck and we will be seeing the lucky winner and a friend in the summer of 2012.

World Record Attempt 2011

Ok to start with I would like to say that I am very very dissapointed with the turnout we had for the Record Attempt.
Apparently there were 1300 people supposed to turn up and support the village of kremasti and from what i could gather there were approximately 400 people actually showed up.

People are so concerned about themselves they have forgotten how to do things for others. This attempt wasn’t for me or you it was for the village of kremasti where we live and work. To try and get the village put back on the map and to show that even though we are going through a rough patch with the economy and the season being as bad as it is due to all inclusive and other things we can show spirit and rise above all the problems and say ‘WE ARE STILL HERE’.

Anyway rant over.

What a good afternoon. Tommies Bar Staff went in to this with no clue on how to dance and under the impression that there were only 5 steps involved and came out with no clue how to do this dance and the realisation that it was the hole dance not 5 steps lol.

Starting at the stadium for last minute practicing, the locals were very patient and didn’t mind us joining in. Well they never said anything anyway lol. On to the main road outside the library is where the main event was taking place. The street was busy enough and my mum was loving the camera’s being there lol. Ant1, and ET3 ( Net ) were there so have a look out for us next time your watching greek tv lol not sure when it will be broadcast mind.

You get 7 balled at pool in Tommies Bar then you have to do a Chicken Dance.

Please boo Mr. Stockdale as this was a poor poor effort and I personally will make sure he gets plenty of practice so he has mastured the art of this dance for when he gets back to the UK. Enjoy

New Live Web Cam Outside

Ok all we have finally got a web cam outside again. So now when you got the webcam page you can click the link below which will bring you another page with the Outside Web Cam.

This Web Cam is an IP Camera which basically means it runs itself so this also means that it will be broadcasting all day and night.

Fancy Dress

Helen will be celebrating her 32nd plus 1 birthday as Helen refuses to say she is 33 lol.

Anyway we will be having a fancy dress party so dig out all those costumes and come and have a laugh…..

The party will be on the Saturday 28th May.

Guinness Book of Records 2011.

It just goes to show that although Kremasti is down at the moment there are still a few people out there willing to try and get it put back on the map. Akis Zannakis has organised a Guinness World Record attempt for the longest Sortaki Dance ( Zorba Dance ).

We will be needing 2000 people in all to succeed.

Here at Tommies Bar we will be doing our part and getting as many people ( Tourist or otherwise ) to participate in this major event. There will be an application form going up on facebook in the next couple of days.

Everyone will be wearing the same clothing which will be:

Blue Jeans, White t-shirt which will be provided by the participant and a red belt and scarf which will be provided by Akis & Team.

Tommies Bar will have the rights to use the logo of the “Sirtaki Dance Guinness Book of Records attempt 2011″ for printing on t-shirts. So if you would like to wear an original “Sirtaki Dance Guinness Book of Records attempt 2011″ T-shirt you will be able to purchase them from within Tommies Bar.

This major event will be taking place on the 31st of July, so if you are in the village of Kremasti or anywhere on the Island of Rhodes at this time pop down to Tommies Bar for more information on the event or just turn up on the 31st of July wearing blue jeans and white t-shirt.

Whether we succeed or not at this Guinness Book of Records Attempt 2011 I personally have only one thing to say “Fair play to you Akis Zannakis and the rest of your Team, as without people like you lot this village would just slowly die.”
